These are straight butt wire terminals, insulated crimp terminals that join two wire ends in one splice. Each terminal has a copper body and a PVC insulator, so the splice is insulated once it is crimped.
Crimp terminals suit people who join wires in wiring jobs and want a neat, insulated splice. Electricians, installers and hobbyists building or repairing cable runs often keep a range of sizes and colours on hand so each joint matches its wire.
Start with the wire size. The terminals cover 0.5-6.0mm2 or 10-22AWG, so check the cable gauge against that range before choosing. The colours are red, blue and yellow, which can help tell wire groups apart in a harness. Choose the pack size of 10, 50 or 100 pieces based on how many splices the job needs.
What wire sizes does it suit?
It suits 0.5-6.0mm2 or 10-22AWG cable. Check the cable gauge against that range before crimping.
What is the terminal made of?
The terminal body is copper with tin plating, and the insulator is PVC. The copper tube in the middle of the splice gives good conductivity.
What temperature and voltage ratings does it have?
The maximum temperature is 75 Celsius and the insulation voltage is 600V. The EU LVD rating is low voltage, below 50Vac or 75Vdc.
How many terminals are in each pack?
Pack options are 10, 50 or 100 pieces. The colour counts include 4 red, 4 blue and 2 yellow, 20 red, 20 blue and 10 yellow, and 40 red, 40 blue and 20 yellow.
