What It Is / How It Works

These are barbed single jig hooks, sold as a 100-piece pack. Jig hooks are the hooks used on a jig head to carry soft plastic baits and other lures.

Who It's For / Use Cases

Anglers who fish jigs and soft plastic baits often use single jig hooks like these. The size list helps match a hook to the weight of the jig, which suits anglers who tie their own jig rigs or replace a worn hook on a jig.

How to Use / Care

1. Use size 8 or size 10 for jigs weighing 5g (0.18 oz)-10g (0.35 oz).
2. Use size 10 or size 11 for jigs weighing 10g (0.35 oz)-20g (0.7 oz).
3. Use size 11 or size 12 for jigs weighing 20g (0.7 oz)-30g (1.06 oz).
4. Use size 13 or size 14 for jigs weighing 30g (1.06 oz)-40g (1.4 oz).
5. Use size 15 or size 16 for jigs weighing 60g (2.1 oz)-80g (2.8 oz).
6. Use size 16 or size 17 for jigs weighing 80g (2.8 oz)-100g (3.5 oz).
7. Use size 17 or size 18 for jigs weighing 100g (3.5 oz)-200g (7.1 oz).
8. Use size 20 or size 24 for jigs weighing 200g (7.1 oz)-400g (14.1 oz).

How to Choose

Pick the hook size by the weight of the jig. Jigs of 5g (0.18 oz) to 20g (0.7 oz) pair with sizes 8 to 11, and jigs of 60g (2.1 oz) to 400g (14.1 oz) use sizes 15 to 24. Check the gate width for the size you pick, since a size 8 gate is 7mm (0.28 in) and a size 24 gate is 20mm (0.79 in).
