This manual siphon pump is a shake-operated tool for moving water and other liquids through a hose. It is made of PLA and 3D printed layer by layer, so minor surface lines, small marks, or fine strings are normal characteristics of the build rather than defects. The pump starts a siphon when you move the pump end up and down in the liquid, which avoids sucking on the hose and the risk of getting liquid in your mouth.
Manual siphon pumps suit people who move liquids without a powered pump, such as draining a garden hose, emptying a small tank, or transferring water around a home, shop, or vehicle. They are also used on farms, boats, and in workshops where a simple hand-operated transfer tool is handy. The pump fits a hose with a 1.1 cm interface; if the pipe is too thick to fit, it can be fixed with tape.
Choose a siphon pump by matching the hose interface to your pipe: this pump has a 1.1 cm interface, and a pipe that is too thick to fit can be secured with tape. Pick the color you prefer from black, white, or red. Consider where you will use it, such as a garden hose, a small tank, or a workshop, and remember that PLA is a rigid 3D printed material, so handle the pump without forceful bending or dropping.
How do I start the siphon?
Place the end of the hose with the pump on it in the liquid and move the pump up and down vigorously to start the flow.
What material is the pump made of?
The pump is made of PLA and is 3D printed layer by layer, so minor surface lines, small marks, or fine strings are normal characteristics of the build.
What size hose does it fit?
The interface diameter is 1.1 cm. If the water pipe is too thick to fit, it can be fixed with tape.
What colors are available?
The pump comes in black, white, and red.
Can I bend or drop the pump?
Do not forcefully bend, pull, or drop the pump, because 3D printed materials have limited flexibility and this may cause damage.
