What It Is / How It Works

Car phone holders are small mounts that hold a phone in view inside a vehicle. Air vent clip types attach to the slats of a vent or an outlet, and a ball head lets the phone be angled for viewing. Holders of this kind are used to keep a navigation screen in sight while driving.

Who It's For / Use Cases

Car phone holders of this kind suit drivers who want to keep a phone at a set angle for viewing a map or screen during a trip. They suit passengers who want a phone mounted within reach. A clip-on mount is a practical choice for people who prefer not to fix a holder to the dashboard.

How to Use / Care

1. Use it to hold a phone in a car.

How to Choose

Start with the size of your phone and whether you want a fixed or adjustable angle. Check that the clip fits the air vent or outlet in your vehicle, since vent slats and outlet shapes differ between cars.

The ball head is 17mm (0.67 in), so compare it with the mount you already have before buying.
