This is a handheld voltage circuit tester in pen form, used to check whether a wire carries AC voltage. It has an LCD digital display, a green and red dual color backlight, and a cone shaped pattern. Batteries are not included.
Circuit tester pens suit people who want a quick way to check whether a wire carries voltage, such as electricians, electrical technicians, and home DIY users doing light wiring work. Voltage testers are commonly used to tell neutral and live wires apart before handling a circuit. Anyone using a tester should follow local electrical codes and their own safety practices.
Choose a circuit tester by the voltage range you expect to test. Pen-style testers are generally chosen for quick single-point checks, so consider how often you need to test at a single contact point.
Display and visibility also matter when choosing a tester. Many buyers look for a clear digital readout and a backlight that works in dim spaces. Consider whether you need an audible or visual alarm for breakpoint checks, since alarms help when you cannot watch the display closely.
Are batteries included with this tester?
No, batteries are not included with this tester. Its power rating is given as 5-96V, so confirm that the power source you plan to use falls within that figure.
What voltage range does it cover?
The voltage detection range is 5V-48V and 5V-120V. Check that range against the circuits you plan to test before use.
How does it tell a neutral wire from a live wire?
Neutral and live wires are judged from the voltage shown on the LCD digital display. The tester also includes an intelligent sound and light alarm for breakpoint detection and intelligent recognition of neutral and live wires.
Does it work wirelessly?
No, this tester has no wireless support. It includes a wire conduction function and multi functional real-time detection.
Is it certified?
The CE mark is the certification shown for this tester. The product also states that safe electrical inspection and insulation operation make safety easier.
